I moved to CZ from England 3 years ago and decided to start jogging again, having always getting injured and feeling very tired after a short distance of only 1 kilometre.
I went to see specialist at my local Czech hospital and found I had 2 hernias which slowly got worse and I could not run at all without pain.
Then a month after operations to repair them, I started training again without any problem at all and now love jogging and intermittent fast walking included 3/4 times a week and on a Sunday a nonstop 4 kilometre run which takes around 40 minutes to complete nonstop.
My aim is to complete a 10 kilometre race sometime when I get the full confidence again.
I had run in my 40s 20+ marathons and then suddenly I could not run more than 2 miles without stopping.
It's amazing to find after operation on hernias, I have made full recovery after 20 year rest
and in my later life its so nice to feel free relaxed to jog most days a week here in Most town in Czech Republic.
Everyone should try it its a great confidence boost for the mind and body.
